What keeps you motivated?
Honestly, the ocean itself is my biggest motivator. Every wave, every session is different, and that keeps things exciting. There’s always something new to learn. I also draw a lot of inspiration from the people around me, whether it’s my fellow athletes or just people who are incredibly dedicated to their own paths, their passion pushes me to work harder and constantly strive for greatness. I’ve learned that you can always push your limits, and that’s what keeps me going every day.

If you could surf with any two athletes, who would they be, and where?
I’d love to surf with Aryna Sabalenka and Cristiano Ronaldo. Aryna’s fierce determination on the tennis court is something I really admire, and Ronaldo’s work ethic is legendary. I think their energy would be amazing to have in the water! As for where we’d surf, I’d pick o2 Surftown Munich. It’s a totally different vibe—surfing in an artificial wave pool in the middle of a city—but it would be an awesome way to mix sports and fun.

Goals for 2024/25?
My biggest goal is to become the German national champion again, but beyond that, I’m setting my sights on something even bigger—qualifying for the Olympics in LA 2028. It’s a long road, but I’m fully committed to the journey. I’m training hard, pushing myself in every session, and working to refine both my physical and mental game. The idea of representing my country on that stage is a huge motivator for me.

Personal philosophy?
Balance is everything for me, both in and out of the water. I believe in staying active, eating well, and keeping a positive mindset. Surfing teaches you so much about patience, resilience, and being present, and I try to apply that to every aspect of my life. Life is too short not to enjoy it, so I focus on making the most of each day—whether that’s during a tough surf session or just having a good time with friends.

Favorite mantra?
“Life is like surfing; you can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to ride them.” This reminds me that challenges are inevitable, but it’s how you respond that matters. Every wave is an opportunity, whether it’s in the ocean or in life, and it’s all about riding those waves with confidence and grace.

What do you think about SWOX?
SWOX has been a game changer for me. As someone who spends so much time in the sun and saltwater, taking care of my skin is super important.
